We understand you want your wedding to be picture-perfect — and telling the story of your wedding is far more than just pointing the camera, focusing and pushing the shutter. Capturing the “right” moments starts with our relationship with you — knowing your feelings, your hopes, and even a few of your fears means we will capture and tell your unique and beautiful story… Your love story.
While no two love stories are exactly the same — we know there are some moments that are “extra” special in all weddings — the look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time, the tears on her father’s face when he dances with her — the father and daughter together, the private moment in the mirror each bride has with herself — just after she’s dressed, and just before she heads to her ceremony… All of the work, the stress, the details melt away as she surrenders to the moment, and is swept toward the aisle and her waiting groom.
Those moments — and many, many more will be part of the life-long keepsake we will create for you. As a mother / daughter photography team we are sensitive to the emotions, joys, concerns and wishes that come from the brides, the mothers — and all those who are “pulling for you” to have a truly special day.
Many people ask us what “Kokoro” means. It is the Japanese word for “heart, spirit or soul”, it’s a word inspired by Amanda’s experience teaching in the Japanese school system after graduating from college. Both of us, Debi and Amanda, are passionate about the photography profession — and the word “Kokoro” clearly reflects our passion to reveal your heart, your spirit, your soul in each image we capture for you.
